Designation : Head of Operations & Implementation

Kripa brings with her over 18 years of experience in the shipping and freight forwarding industry, spanning across Principal and Port Accounting, Agency Operations, Compliance, Taxation and Audits. She has to her credit, in depth experience of digitalizing various processes and improving process efficiency. Prior to joining Mizzen Digital, she has worked in Transworld Group of Companies and J M Baxi Group, across Accounts, Agency Operations, Technology functions. At Mizzen Digital, she heads the Operations leading the team of processors and process enhancements.

Hiren Deshpande

Designation : Chief Revenue Officer

Hiren is an astute business strategist known for relationship building and business development in the corporate world. Hiren is an MBA, besides holding a Diploma in Innovation and Design Management from Malardalen University of Sweden. He has worked closely with Promoters and Sr, Management of large corporates, helping them craft and execute business strategies for growth. He has varied business interests in the field of Shipping, Healthcare, Renewables, Speciality Chemicals & Commodity trading and distribution. With his repertoire of skills in Business Development & Strategy, Corporate Affairs, Public Relations, Policy Advocacy, he is our Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for strategizing and crafting strategies for business growth for Mizzen Digital.

Shivanshu Sharma

Designation : Chief Operating Officer

Shivanshu is a results-oriented leader with a proven problem-solving attitude. A sound understanding of the concepts involved in commercial shipping operations. A resourceful professional he applies his 12+ years of total experience, with a perfect mix of seafaring and Commercial Operations dealing in product/chemical/crude/gas cargoes across Handy, MR, LR, Aframax, Suezmax, and VLCC’s to effectively utilize all resources for customer success. A hard core maritime professional, with a strong tech orientation, Shivanshu is a dual degree holder (BE - Marine Technology). He has worked for various major maritime organizations based out of New York, Copenhagen, and Singapore. At Mizzen Digital, Shivanshu is responsible for Product Development, Customer Relationship Management and Business Development.

Chetan Mehrotra

Designation : Co-Founder & CHRO

Chetan has over 25 years of rich and varied cross industry experience in HR, holding leadership roles in various functions of HR in leading technology service companies like HCL, Perot Systems, Tata Consultancy and Tech Mahindra, besides process companies like SRF and Moserbaer. With his keen interest in business strategy, compliance and legal aspects, his areas of expertise include Organization building and structuring, developing and deploying scalable HR Process, HR Technology, M&A and Integration and Employee Relations. He has experience of setting up HR function and leading the HR functions during project ramp up and stabilizing stages of organizations. At Mizzen Digital, besides being a Co-founder of the company, Chetan is responsible for leading our Human Resource Function.

CAPT. Melwyn Machado

Designation : Business Head – Middle East

Capt. Melwyn Machado is a Master Mariner with rich experience in both aspects of Shipping – Sailing and Shore Operations. He is an acknowledged expert in the areas of Business Development, Relationship Management, Resource Utilization, and Global operations expansion. Capt. Machado has played multiple roles in Business Development, Marketing, Operations Management, Digital Transformation, and business strategy in a career spanning more than three decades with companies like ExxonMobil, BP Shipping, NYK, Eurasia Ship Management and Marcura. At Mizzen Digital, he leads our business in Middle East.

Hege Jacobsen

Designation : Business Head - Europe

Hege is a very strong business strategist. With a dual specialization in Marketing and Communication, she brings extensive experience in maritime and management consulting space. A firm believer in relationship building and collaboration, with her business acumen, she manages to create a win-win business situations for all stakeholders. Managing our Europe business interests, Hege has, in the past, held board level positions in various entities. Before joining Mizzen Digital, she was associated with Dataloy Systems AS, where she played multiple roles in Business Management and Development, including that of Managing Director.

Sandeep DSilva

Designation : Founder & CEO

Capt. Sandeep DSilva, as Founder and CEO, provides the business direction and guides our strategy. Sandeep has rich professional experience in the Maritime Sector, of which the past decade has been in leadership roles. He worked in senior management capacities in reputed Shipping Companies in the Maritime Space.
He has vibrant experience of working in many different roles encompassing General Management for more than a decade, Business Development, Product Management, Customer Support, and Project Management. He has worked in large established organizations and businesses, as well as entrepreneurial setups, which helped him in understanding different organizational cultures and styles of management.
During the stints in the leadership roles, he has created new businesses and infrastructure, driven aggressive business expansions, restructured businesses, and architected a successful company turnaround. There has been a good exposure to starting and establishing new businesses, particularly in the Maritime sector.
